Take a break without losing anything
If work has gone quiet and you do not want to keep paying, you can pause instead of cancelling. Pausing puts your account into vault mode: your projects are archived and read-only, nothing is deleted, and you can bring your plan back whenever you are ready.
How to pause
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Scroll to Pause, cancel or delete at the bottom of the page.
- Click Pause & vault my account.
Only the account owner or an admin can pause or resume. You also need a live paid subscription — there is nothing to pause on the free plan, and a free trial simply ends on its own.
What happens the moment you pause
- Your projects are archived straight away. This is not deferred to the end of your billing period. Pause when you are ready to stop working, not mid-job.
- Archived projects are read-only. You and anyone you have shared with can still open and read them; nobody can add or change anything.
- Nothing is deleted. Drawings, annotations, reports, ITPs, correspondence and attachments all stay exactly as they were.
- Billing stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. You are not charged again, and the part-period you have already paid is not refunded.
What vault mode costs
Nothing. There is no charge for keeping your data vaulted, and no time limit on it.
Resuming
Go back to Settings → Billing and click Resume <your plan>. One of two things happens:
- If your paid period has not run out yet, your subscription is simply reinstated. No new payment, no checkout.
- If it has already ended, you are taken to checkout to start your previous plan again at the same billing interval. You can pick a different plan there if your needs have changed.
Important: resuming restores your plan. It does not unarchive your projects. Open the Projects list and unarchive the ones you want to work on again — they are all still there, and you choose which come back.
