Deleting Your Account

Updated 3 Oct 2026

Permanent removal, with 30 days to change your mind

Deleting removes your account and everything in it. Unlike cancelling, which only stops the billing, this cannot be undone once it completes.

Warning: this removes your projects, drawings, annotations, comments, attachments, reports and shares, and disables your login. Anyone you have shared a project with loses access to it. Export your data first.

Export your data first

On the same screen you can request a full export. You will be emailed a download link, valid for 30 days. Do this before starting a deletion — once the deletion completes there is nothing left to export.

How to delete

  1. Open Settings → Billing and click Export data or delete account at the bottom. (You can also reach it from Settings → Help & Support → Data Export.)
  2. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm. This is checked on our side, not just in the browser.
  3. Confirm with the code we email you, so a deletion cannot be started by someone using an unattended screen.
  4. Your account is then scheduled for deletion in 30 days.

The 30-day grace period

  • Your account keeps working normally for the whole 30 days. Nothing is hidden, archived or degraded.
  • You can cancel the deletion at any point during those 30 days, from the same screen.
  • After 30 days your data is deleted, your login is permanently disabled, and you get an email confirming it is done.

What is kept afterwards, and why

  • Billing records are kept for 7 years, as tax and company law requires. These are invoices and payment records, not your project content.
  • Backup copies are purged within 90 days. Backups are not restorable per-account, which is why they lag the main deletion — see the Privacy Policy, section 7.

If a deletion cannot complete

Some accounts have records that must be resolved first — for example outstanding finance commitments. These are re-checked at the moment of deletion, not just when you request it, so a deletion can be held if something appears in the meantime. If that happens you will be told what is blocking it.

Alternatives worth considering

  • Pause into vault mode — stops the billing, keeps everything, free, resume any time.
  • Cancel — stops the billing, keeps your account open on the free plan.

Both of those stop you paying without losing anything. Delete only if you genuinely want the data gone.
